Every day thousands of commuters crowd into the station in Owings Mills, Maryland, to catch the Metro subway into downtown Baltimore. As the outermost stop on the northwest subway line, Owings Mills is the starting point for commuters from Baltimore.
The Owing Mills Metro Centre Garage needed a comprehensive security system to keep watch over thousands of cars left by train commuters in the nine-level subway parking deck each day.
Owing Mills chose Panasonic technology to implement a comprehensive system with more than 100 cameras including the WV-CW484 Series vandal-resistant dome cameras and all-in-one WV-CW964 pan-tilt-zoom dome cameras with WV-CU650 system controllers and WJ-RT416 Series DVRs. The WJ-SX650 Matrix System ties together the DVRs and WV-ASM100 i-Pro Operation and Management Software supplies the user interface.
Owing Mills is pleased with the superior quality images provided in 30 frames per second and delivered in real-time, especially for such a large-scale, comprehensive site as this 3,000-plus space parking garage.
