"We conducted an exacting competitive equipment review, and the Panasonic plasmas excelled in terms of both quality and design," said Nicolas Corrochano, Vice President of IT for the MDM Hotel Group. "The rooms at the JW Marriott are richly appointed, and the slim design and black hue of the Panasonic plasmas are totally in keeping with the décor. The displays are wall-mounted, and are so thin that they actually look like a picture. Our guests have been quick to praise the plasmas as soon as they see them in the room."
A 65" Panasonic flat-screen plasma serves as the focal point of the hotel's La Terraza Cafe and Bar, with 42” plasmas placed in various common areas, including the Concierge Lounges on the three executive-level floors, and the conference floor, where plasmas are available for meeting rentals. "As these are commercial-grade displays, we can expect top-performance over an extended service life," Corrochano said. According to Corrochano, Panasonic plasmas are being used at a growing number of Marriott properties in the greater Miami area.
